ABoT Music Award Nominees Announced

Urban Tulsa Weekly’s Absolute Best of Tulsa Music Awards

Nominees for the second annual Urban Tulsa Weekly’s Absolute Best of Tulsa Music Awards have been announced.

Chuk Cooley and the Demon Hammers and Restless Ribbon lead the pack with five nominations apiece.

Stars Go Dim, Eric & the Adams, Fiawna Forte, Apagee and Josef Glaude & James Ruggles each pulled in four nominations.

There are 27 categories to vote for in this year’s edition. Voting ends on Friday, July 16 at midnight.

The Absolute Best Music Awards will be held on Thursday, August 5 at Cain’s Ballroom. The Red Carpet Arrival and VIP Event begin at 7pm and the Award Ceremony starts at 8pm. Hosted by Jeff Scheel, lead vocalist of Gravity Kills, the star-studded evening will include live performances by Artist of the Year Nominees and Tulsa Rock Ensemble.

Thousands of musicians and fans converge on downtown Tulsa this weekend for the ninth edition of DFest.
