Just a quick update on some goings-on, for those of you that like watching me on television or listening to me on the radio.

Hi Mom!

On Sunday night (8pm CST), I will be a guest on “The Gwin Faulconer Lippert Show” on KTOK (1000 AM), talking about the Oklahoma Rock Song finalists. Jeff Moore of the Oklahoma History Center and Lacey Lett of 94.7 The Buzz and OklaTravelNet will also be guests on the show.

The next morning (Monday), Lacey Lett and I will be guests on FOX 25 Morning News (Cox Channel 12). We should be on shortly after 8am.

There has been a great response to the finalists announcement so far. As of Thursday afternoon, there were 4500 votes and 8000 hits on OklahomaRockSong.org.

The announcement has received mentions on Pitchfork, Metafilter, The A.V. Club, USA Today’s Pop Candy, You Ain’t No Picasso, BuzzSugar, Hypeful, some local newspapers and local news stations (a couple segments after the jump). The announcement also reportedly received a lot of attention on CNN’s crawl Thursday evening.
