Crooked X Release Debut Album Today

Crooked X - Crooked X

Crooked X release their self-titled debut today. The album was produced by Spencer Proffer (Tina Turner, Quiet Riot, WASP) and Michael Wagener (Ozzy, Skid Row, Poison).

You can purchase the album at Amazon.com, iTunes, SmartPunk or your local record store.

Crooked X have their bases covered. Opener “Gone” recalls the greatest of grunge, while the metafictional “Rock N Roll Dream” has AC/DC—and even their imitators like the Cult—on lockdown. “Fade” phases shimmering guitar into cinematic balladry, “Nail in the Coffin” offers pounding boogie that would make Lemmy smile, and “Death of Me” is as emotionally overwrought as it is sonically raucous. One would be tempted to call Crooked X derivative, but they’ve only been alive long enough to copy the copiers. - AZCentral.com

Look for these four youngsters from Green Country to do for homegrown heavy metal what the very young Hanson did for Sooner-bred pop on an international level in the ’90s. The Oklahoma kids are all right. - The Oklahoman
