Oklahomans to Showcase at SXSW
The South by Southwest Music Conference updated the list of Official Showcasing Bands for 2009 yesterday.
There were seven Oklahoma bands on that list:
• The City Lives
• Colourmusic
• Crocodile
• Other Lives
• Samantha Crain & the Midnight Shivers
• Stardeath and White Dwarfs
• The Uglysuit
Two bands - ok city ok (Japan) and Tulsa (Massachusetts) - are also on the list, although neither of them have anything to do with Oklahoma.
The overall list will fluctuate over the next few weeks and we’ll bring you any news of Oklahoma bands added to an official showcase. If you are an Oklahoma band that will be playing in Austin during SXSW at an unofficial event, please use the comment section to let us in on the details.
We will post a full list of dates and times of Oklahomans playing at SXSW as we get closer.

SXSW is amazing. The only other fests that beat it is Schwagstock and Bonnaroo.
