Also, if you’re in an Oklahoma band that is playing SXSW and we don’t have you listed, post your band and show information in the comments and we’ll add you to the list. Thanks!

  2. Ryin Says:

    Emelo
    SXSW Showcase @ Doc’s Motorworks

  3. Ryan Says:

Thanks Ryin! Emelo has been added.

  4. Cameron Says:

Benjamin Curtis is an Oklahoma City native?

I’m pretty sure his only OK connection is living in Lawton for a few years as a kid.

  5. Ryan Says:

I’ve seen Oklahoma City, Lawton and Norman. I’m sure one or all of them is true. If you find something definite, let me know.

This article says they moved from Oklahoma in the early 90s. Since they were in Texas when they formed UFOFU in 1993, that means Brandon was between 17-20 and Benjamin 11-14 when they left Oklahoma (somewhere between 1990 and 1993).

  6. Angie Says:

Also at the Dfest/OFMO showcase @ The Palm Door (outside patio), 401 Sabine St. All Ages. FREE!. for acoustic performances:

    4:00-4:15 Ali Harter
    4:40p-4:55 Daniel Walcher

If you’re headed to SXSW & if you don’t have a badge, you MUST be rsvp’d to get in the Oklahoma party, go sign up now if you know you’ll be down there. Even if you have a badge, I’d still rsvp as we have over 1000 rsvp’d for the Oklahoma party as of tonite and rsvp’s will help if we get in an over-capacity situation in regards to badges with rsvp vs badges without rsvp.
