The South by Southwest Music Conference gets underway this week and more than 40 Oklahoma bands will be playing.

Twenty-three Oklahoma acts will take part in official showcases:

Audra Mae, Ben Rector, Cady Groves, Chase Kerby, The City Lives, Colourmusic, Daniel Walcher, Dre Murray, Dwight Twilley, Fedel, Fiawna Forte, Green Corn Revival, Gum, K.C. Clifford, The Non, OK Sweetheart, Paul Benjaman Band, The Pretty Black Chains, The Red Alert, Stardeath and White Dwarfs, The Uglysuit, Unwed Sailor and Wanda Jackson

Twenty-three more Oklahoma acts will be playing unofficial showcases and day parties:

Ali Harter, Beatpunks, The Boom Bang, Brandon Jenkins, Brine Webb, Broncho, Camille Harp, Computer Blue, Crystal Vision, The Effects, Eric and the Adams, Grooms, Jabee, Jacob Abello, Joshua Distance, Kids at the Bar, Leon Russell, Mark Gibson, The Mean Spirits, Mike Kelly, Red City Radio, The Reverb Bros. and Trash Yourself

Six other SXSW acts have Oklahoma connections:

School of Seven Bells (features Lawton-native Benjamin Curtis), The Veils (lived in Oklahoma City for a short time in 2007), Daddy a Go-Go (featuring Tulsa native John Boydston), The Souls (featuring Medicine Park resident David Lott), Hot Club of Cowtown (featuring Tulsa-area resident Whit Smith) and Oh No Not Stereo (featuring former University of Oklahoma student Mykul Lee)
