Rewake may be gone,
but there are still plans to release a live CD. The disc may be out
in January 2004. Rewake singer/guitarist Malan Darras has also announced the formation of his new project, Triiipolar. Triipolar also consists of Jazzcow saxophonist Michael Staub & DJ Moody. About Triipolar, Darras said, "We put this group together to see what would happen if you take away all the things you're used to and try something completely different. From instrumentation to music style to vocal style... the results, although still in an infant state, are somewhat remarkable. Just think of everything you'd expect it to be and it's the opposite of that." |

Tulsa Police were called to 215 North Elgin about 3 a.m. Friday morning after a large fight broke out in the parking lot of Curly's. Soon after officers arrived, shots were fired and police found one man shot in the head. His name or condition have not been released. Owners of the club say the situation first got out of hand inside the club and extra help had been called in to clear the building. Tulsa Police Captain Larry Kinney: "When the security guard arrived, they were passing fifths of alcohol among the customers, and this is after two o'clock. He also said he could smell the odor of drugs in the air. And fights started breaking out inside forcing the folks outside and that's when the shooting occurred." One man was arrested for having a gun, he may or may not be involved in the shooting. Police continue to investigate. (source: KOTV in Tulsa) |
